It’s been a rough week for Sony execs (million-dollar salaries notwithstanding). And things are only going to get worse. Which would almost be enough to make you feel bad for the poor schmucks in IT—that is, until you realize that they hid their most sensitive password data under the label “Passwords.” Go ahead and slam your head against something hard. We’ll wait.

This isn’t the first hacking problem Sony’s had, is it? When was the PlayStation network hacked? I don’t remember the details of that one so well…

But it was a password protected folder, with the password of 12345. That sounds like due diligence to me.

This isn’t the first hacking problem Sony’s had, is it? When was the PlayStation network hacked? I don’t remember the details of that one so well…

They were hacked during the massive ongoing DDOS attack over a couple of weeks that either anon or bchan mounted against Sony for some perceived wrong, I don’t recall which group or what their perceived issue was…

You confusing Sony Pictures with the Playstation Network? As I recall, the PSN DoS was by a group who call themselves the Lizard Squad. And I don’t think this hack was the work of the Anons or the btards.

How else could they find them if they needed them?!!?! If they were smarter they could have named the folder “These are NOT passwords.” That would have tripped the hackers up. Or maybe “If you’re looking for passwords, they are not in here.” Maybe I could forward my suggestions to them? Think it might help?
